Sri. Shivaji Apte has over 25 years of experience in leading architecture, design and engineering of large and complex software products/platforms for mission-critical enterprise, carrier-grade or web-scale performance. He is currently heading the global cloud strategy, roadmap, architecture, and engineering for Finacle.

He is passionate about software architecture and engineering, a product and a platform approach. He specializes in Cloud, containers, Kubernetes and Services Meshes, Micro-services and Event-driven Architecture, High Availability and 5 9s architecture. He is passionate about Scalability and Performance, Lean product engineering, Polyglot Persistence and pragmatic NoSQL. He has strong expertise in Security, AI, Blockchain and Cryptos too as also at the hardware layer including compute, network and storage. What really excites him is the possibility of effecting change or being part of the effort to drive significant transformation in the world at large — a shift from the status quo to something much better. At the same time, he seeks to align with larger social goals and objectives.

He combines individual technical depth with the ability to lead people. His ability to effectively delegate while maintaining a zero-distance approach to detail and a deep-dive capability enables him to uphold strong accountability and leadership, even at scale. He has built specialist tech teams from scratch, setting standards for recruiting, training, and coaching while fostering a great professional culture.
