About the role
As a Learning Resource Developer – Chemistry and Biology, you will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and prototyping high-quality educational materials to support effective teaching and learning. This role involves revising existing content, developing innovative educational tools, and collaborating with project managers and team members.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Chemistry and Biology, a strong grasp of curriculum design, and a passion for creating engaging learning resources that enhance student understanding and engagement.

Responsibilities
Content Development
Develop engaging and age-appropriate learning resources for Chemistry and Biology, including textbooks, workbooks, lab manuals and interactive tools.
Translate complex scientific concepts into simplified, relatable, and student-friendly language.
Incorporate interdisciplinary approaches, linking Chemistry and Biology to real-world applications.
Resource Revision
Review and revise existing materials to align with updated curriculum frameworks and standards (e.g., NEP 2020).
Ensure accuracy and relevance of scientific content while enhancing its pedagogical value.
Teaching Resource Prototyping
Ideate digital learning resources.
Collaborate with designers and subject experts to create innovative tools for experiential learning.
Collaboration
Work closely with project managers to align deliverables with project timelines and goals.
Coordinate with SMEs, content creators, designers, and editors to ensure seamless resource development.
Provide regular updates and support the project manager in monitoring the progress of tasks.
Innovation and Research
Stay updated with advancements in Chemistry and Biology education, including teaching methods and technologies.
Incorporate STEM education strategies and experiential learning methodologies into the resource development process.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all materials meet high standards for scientific accuracy, readability, and instructional effectiveness.
Test prototypes with educators and students to gather feedback and refine resources accordingly.
Support for Implementation
Contribute to the development of teacher training modules to facilitate the effective use of resources.
Assist in creating user manuals or guides for teaching-learning tools.
Educational qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biology.
Additional certifications in curriculum design, STEM education, or instructional design are preferred.
Competencies and skills required
Strong conceptual knowledge of Chemistry and Biology, particularly at school level.
Ability to apply interdisciplinary approaches and demonstrate real-life applications of science concepts.
Proficiency in creating textbooks, workbooks, lab manuals, and other educational materials.
Creativity in designing resources that foster inquiry-based and hands-on learning.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with SMEs, designers, illustrators, and project managers.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on shared goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex scientific ideas for diverse audiences.
Attention to detail in content presentation and formatting.
Ability to assist project managers in tracking deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) is a plus.
Proficiency in tools like MS Office, Google Workspace, and LaTeX for content creation.
Familiarity with visualization tools and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign) is an added advantage.
Strong analytical skills to develop innovative and effective teaching-learning resources.
Openness to exploring new methodologies and tools in Chemistry and Biology education.
Preferred experience
At least 3–5 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, or content creation in Chemistry and Biology.
Experience in developing STEM-based educational resources or working with educational organizations is a plus.
