Yoga for Schools: Launch of Pilot program in 15 Govt Schools & 8 Rashtrotthana Schools
Samvit Yoga for Schools program was launched in 15 government schools in north Bangalore in the month of August 2018. Around 3000 children learn yoga as per the curriculum of Samvit. Students and Teachers are very happy about the program.
Five CBSE schools and Three State Syllabus schools from various locations in Karnataka started pilot of Samvit Yoga curriculum framework. Dedicated Yoga teachers are taking the classes based on the weekly and monthly timetable provided by Samvit.
Learn from the Teachers event: Experiences from the classroom
Samvit stories for life module pilot implementation is in progress in JGRVK school Bangalore.Around 28 teachers are working on this Pilot from Primary and High-school classes.Event was conducted to learn the experience of these teachers in order to enhance designof the Samvit module. Second draft curriculum is being prepared based on these inputs.
Soft launch of Samvit Modules for extended pilot implementation
Draft curriculum framework is ready for all three Samvit modules. Early pilot in controlledenvironment is underway. Soft launch of these modules is planned on Feb 9th 2019to extend pilot implementation beyond few schools.
Advisory committee members and Experts will do a final review of the master plan and module booklets. Post these sample booklets will be available on Samvit website.
